Huntsville Hamfest

The world’s friendliest hamfest, held in the shadow of the Saturn V. Alabama in August, the Von Braun Center full of gear, and a trolley wired to a countdown board by somebody with more RF power than common sense.

A tribute to Huntsville’s own mix of amateur radio, engineering and rocket science, where every good signal is ready for launch. For everybody who has stood in that hall talking antennas with a stranger while a rocket the size of an office block waits outside.
