The Oregon coast hamfest, held at Seaside in June, and the weather doing what that coast does. A yellow slicker on the boardwalk, an umbrella that has already given up, a beam going past on the wind and a gull making off with a PL-259.

Windy? Just more range. A celebration of operating through Oregon’s wind, rain and curious seagulls, because a little coastal weather never stopped a dedicated ham, and everybody who has worked that boardwalk in the rain goes back the next year for more of it.
