Payment

Some designs are free and some are bought. Payments are handled by Stripe, which is a payment processor used by millions of businesses. When you buy a design you are sent to Stripe's own page to pay and returned here afterwards.

Your card details never reach this site. They are typed on Stripe's page, held by Stripe, and MrHamRadio.com never sees, receives or stores a card number. What comes back to us is whether the payment succeeded, how much it was for, the email address you gave Stripe, and Stripe's own reference for the transaction.

A purchase is held against the call sign and the design it was bought for. Come back at any time, enter that call sign, and the design is yours to print again. There is no account to sign in to and nothing to remember but the call sign.

If you buy a design for the wrong call sign, it can be moved to the right one once, from the browser that paid, without paying again.

What we keep

When you buy something, we keep what proves you bought it: the call sign, which design, the email address Stripe passed on, Stripe's reference, and the amount. That record is what lets you come back and print it again, so it lasts as long as the design does.

Everything else is passing. There are no accounts and no passwords. A certificate is built when you ask for it and never written to disk, so no copy of yours is held anywhere. A call sign you have only looked up is held for the length of your visit and no longer.

An email address used to send a certificate, to yourself or to a friend as a gift, is used for that one message and not kept, not added to a list, and never passed to anyone.

Anything you type onto a certificate that the FCC does not hold (a date, a name, who a certificate is from) stays in your own browsing session and is printed onto the document. It is not stored in our records.
