Terms and Conditions
Last updated August 2026
These terms cover what Mr. Ham Radio sells, what you may do with it, and what we promise and do not promise. Using this site means you accept them.
What we provide
Mr. Ham Radio produces personalized, printable certificates for licensed amateur radio operators, built from the FCC’s published amateur licensing data together with anything you type in yourself. What you buy is a digital file: a PDF you download and print. Nothing is posted to you.
Who may use it
This service is intended for licensed amateur radio operators, and for people buying a certificate for one as a gift or in memory of one.
You may generate a certificate for your own call sign, for a call sign you are buying a certificate for as a gift, or for an operator you are remembering with a Silent Key memorial. You may not use this site to produce a certificate intended to mislead anyone about who holds a licence, about what class it is, or about whether an operator is living.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown on each design’s page in United States dollars and include no tax unless stated. One design is free; the rest are a single payment, not a subscription. There is nothing to cancel and nothing that renews.
Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s own page and never reach this site. Your purchase is complete when Stripe confirms the payment.
What you get, and for how long
A purchase is held against the call sign it was bought for, not against an account. Enter that call sign again at any time and the design is yours to print again, as often as you like. We intend to keep it that way for as long as the site runs, and we recommend saving your downloaded file so that a copy is always in your own hands.
There is no time limit. An amateur license runs for ten years and is renewed, and a certificate you have bought is not affected by that: it stays yours, and you do not buy it again. If the license lapses while a renewal goes through, what you bought is still there.
Because a certificate is built from the FCC record as it stands when you print it, renewing your license updates the dates on it. Print it again after a renewal and it will be current.
If you buy a design for the wrong call sign, it can be moved to the correct one once, from the browser that paid, without paying again.
Refunds
Because a certificate is delivered immediately as a digital file, purchases are generally not refundable once the file has been downloaded. If something has gone wrong (you were charged twice, the certificate will not download, the wrong design was delivered, or the details printed are not what the FCC record says), write to us through the contact page and we will put it right or refund you.
What you may do with a certificate
A certificate you buy is yours to print, frame, display and give away, as many times as you like, for personal and non-commercial purposes.
The designs themselves remain the property of Mr. Ham Radio. Buying one does not transfer ownership of the artwork. You may not resell certificates, sell printing services based on them, redistribute the files, or use the designs as the basis of your own products.
Accuracy
License information is read from the FCC’s published data, which we mirror and refresh daily. We do not invent or alter it. If the FCC’s record is wrong or out of date, the certificate will carry that too. Corrections have to be made with the FCC, not with us.
The operating privileges shown on some designs are our own summary of FCC Part 97, provided as a helpful reference. They are not quoted from any individual licence record.
Availability
We aim to keep the site running and the designs available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Designs may be added, changed or withdrawn. A design you have already bought stays available to you.
Liability
Mr. Ham Radio provides this service “as-is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of this site is limited to the amount you paid us for the certificate in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and the terms in force are the ones published here at the time of your purchase.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of that state.
